The Old Town

The Old Town (Gamla Stan) is the most ancient Stockholm attraction. It dates back to the 13th century. And You still find there archaic architecture in medieval alleyways and cobbled streets. The central square Stortorget surrounded by old merchants’ houses was the site of the Stockholm Bloodbath. Royal Palace, Stockholm Cathedral (Storkyrkan), Nobel museum, lots of statues and souvenir botiques are located in Gamla Stan.
